Architectural Design: Nelson Residential Design

THE MEETING STREET HOME

Our Meeting Street Home was an important project, our first tour house in Minnesota and a personal challenge for Tom, Stacia, and Shaun. Our aim for the house was to be the best representation of our roots as a builder and what we want to create in the market. It was the first impression of “Aspect Design Build”; encapsulating the meaning we have in our name, representing our best design effort, and our build standard. We asked architect, Ben Nelson, to create a home that incorporates the rustic Mountain Modern feel that we’ve enjoyed from our Colorado background, to bring in an element of mid-century that permeates our market, and to keep an element of refined lake area timelessness. Not only did we want the home to be elevated and intriguing; we wanted it to be a place where guests can take their boots off at the front door, wildlife viewing in the sunroom, and family time in the great room, kitchen, dining room and everywhere in between along with a few other surprises along the way.
